About This Lesson
I repeatedly find my students unable to analyze texts - they just paraphrase or summarize documents instead of analyzing them. So this is a protocol for going from texts to text analysis - starting with observations, then questions, then summarizing, then analyzing the answers to questions, and finally combining our summaries with our analysis.
You might want to remove the curse word. If I printed that out for my 9th graders there would be certain consequences. Just saying we are to be role models and that is not appropriate. :(
