About This Lesson

The documents are a map of Islam's spread, a map of Arabian Trade routes, a document about camels through the Sahara Desert, 4 verses from the Quran, an description of Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate, a description of Muslim Spain, a summary of Mansa Musa's hajj and the resulting European interest in African gold, a picture of Mansa Musa from the Catalan Atlas, and a document about how Askia Muhammad of Songhai used Islam politically.
Really good assignment. Builds depth of knowledge without overwhelming the students. Well done!
