About This Lesson
In this article, Andy Robinson and Joan Brodsky Schur offer suggestions and ideas for guiding students through an educational, historical roleplaying exercise where students must imagine they are taking part in an abolitionist society convention. As Robinson and Brodsky detail, abolitionists agreed on the goal of ending slavery, but disagreed on the speed, scope, manner, and mode of change.
