About This Lesson
Students will create a Super Me Badge that will make positive statements about them, things that they like or enjoy, things they want, and things they enjoy doing. Magazine pictures and phrases are made into a collage; written personal narrative is then based on the 'badge' that the student created. Awesome for beginning of the year and getting-to-know-you activities! Very non-threatening activity, that can boost self-esteem and help develop self-confidence. Easily adapted to a variety of needs and levels.
Great idea for back to school! The kids get to be creative while sharing about themselves...much better than having them fill out a worksheet. I just need to find some old magazines to use for the project.
