About This Lesson

There are two versions of this literacy center activity: high frequency words and letter names. Print 5 sets of word/letter cards on card stock paper and laminate. Pass out three cards to each child and place the remaining cards in a draw pile. First have them look for pairs and lay them aside. Students take turns asking each other for the word/letter they need to make a pair. If the child asked doesn't have the card, the asking child takes one card from the draw pile. If a child runs out of cards, he/she can take one from the draw pile.
