About This Lesson

This is a collection of resources I made for a lesson to introduce the idea of algebraic proof. I gave prep sheet for homework; then we completed proof as class. Students then made their own puzzles and a poster. They really enjoyed it!

A fantastic set of resources on the topic of algebraic proof. I like the fact that the pupils get to practice themselves the "think of a number" trick, then get to prove it, first with blob and dot, then with algebra. Ideal as an investigation lesson or could be used in conjunction with other proof activities to furhter learning.
