About This Lesson
This 3rd Grade Mary Seacole Reading Comprehension activity is great to use during Black History Month or if you have been teaching your students about civil rights activists. Your students will learn all about the life and legacy of Mary Seacole, a renowned Jamaican-born British nurse and author, as they read through the passage that’s included and there are six questions for your students to answer after they’ve finished reading.
