About This Lesson

This is one of many lessons that I have uploaded on the rise of Hitler and Germany under his rule - for 8th Grade students. All of the lessons can be taught together but each covers a topic so can also be picked up separately. This is a full PowerPoint lesson; ready to teach but you will want to adapt it / update it for your own context and any resources are also uploaded with it. This lesson covers The Treaty of Versailles.

Part of this resource does not make sense: If Germany was not allowed to attend the actual treaty meeting, then why does the teacher have a card for them to be part of the activity? They MUST agree to each clause in the student created Treaty of Versailles which was not the case in the actual treaty because Germany wouldn't have agreed to the majority of the treaty if that were the cause. If Germany was not involved in the actual treaty why are they involved in the student created treaty? The results are going to be completely different.
If you change that, then this lesson is a great way to introduce students to the treaty and make predictions about the future repercussions of this treaty.
