About This Lesson

Students cut cylindrical shaped pieces of fruit/vegetables to develop their understanding of the formulas used to find the volume of a solid formed when a region is revolved around an axis.

Prior to use, students should already have an understanding of Riemann Sums, and the Riemann Sum definition of a definite integral.
