United States Government Packet

This is a packet of handouts and worksheets that explains the basic functions of government, has students brainstorm the pros and cons of three major political ideologies (progressive/liberal, moderate/centrist, conservative/libertarian). Then they learn about the three branches of our government and what they do, learn about the responsibilities of state vs. federal governments. There are check for understanding questions built in, but obviously any of this can be changed if you see fit (it's a Microsoft word document, so you can edit it). There is ane extra credit assignment at the end where they do Internet research to determine if North Korea is a monarchy or dictatorship.
