About This Lesson

This is an activity to support students in using trigonometry to find the height of items around the school. Students will need to have made a clinometer; I made them do it for homework. The students can then make posters showing the heights for display.

This is an excellent idea for a lesson on applying trigonometry and testing students understanding of the topic. The worksheet is quite modelled and I think I will remove this modelling to see whether the students can figure out for themselves the processes which they need to apply. If you don't have a set of clinometers you can easily make them - just google it for a template. Thank you for sharing.
