About This Lesson

Children are given 4 number cards. They are only allowed to use these numbers, and answer the questions which follow. E.g. What is the biggest number you can make? Make 12 by adding only two of the numbers you have. LOTS of math skill review in a fun way!
Aligned to Common Core Standard: 4.OA.4, Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Gain familiarity with factors and multiples.
Aligned to Common Core Standard: 3.NBT.2 Number and Operations in Base Ten: Use place value understanding and properties of operations to perform multi-digit arithmetic

Standards

Find all factor pairs for a whole number in the range 1–100. Recognize that a whole number is a multiple of each of its factors. Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1–100 is a multiple of a given one-digit number. Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1–100 is prime or composite.
Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
