About This Lesson

This lesson analyzes modern changes to the right to vote and compares it to the struggle to attain the right to vote in the Civil Rights Era.  In addition, it reviews the striking down of sections 4 and 5 in the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the implications of that decision.
