About This Lesson

Students will learn how weathering breaks down solid rock into smaller pieces and erodes and transports those pieces to another location, both of which modify landscapes. Students will also determine the effects of erosion on regolith formation and deposition on Earth as well as regolith formation on the Moon by meteoritic activity.
