I was forwarded this file via email so I do not know the origins of the file to credit the author although I was amazed and thought it was worth sharing on TES. Its a short PowerPoint which explains why modern numbers are the shape that they are. It could be adapted to be a starter and will help with introducing numeracy in schools.
A very interesting concept - an interesting addition to higher level math students! Thanks for sharing.
