About This Lesson
I use this as an introduction to Arthur Miller's The Crucible. The students are encouraged to read and follow all steps and determine their 1692 "fate." Afterward, they provide a summary of their decision, its consequenses, and whether they believe they made the right choice. I find that the presentation provides a fundamental background to the Puritain setting of the play and helps the students differentiate between the characters in the play and their real-life models.
