This little seed of a lesson,

This little seed of a lesson, was surprisingly helpful for my fifth grader. She tends to put up blocks whenever the word "writing" is uttered, so I was desperate to find something to help her.I put on a 30 minute timer and just told her to write whatever words came to her mind, no rules, no stipulations, just totally free writing. Do you know? Her half an hour was up and she was having so much fun that she kept going! Thanks for this simple yet helpful idea, from someone who wishes they had thought of it, lol.
