About This Lesson

"Writing Inequality Statements for Real World Scenerios."This is the third of a series of four lessons on the 6EE5 standard. In this lesson we review an equation developed in the first lesson (Writing Equations) and show students how new language (more than, no more than, less than, at least) is translated into the inequality symbols. The lesson progresses with a mini-lesson, guided practice and independent practice and students are asked to process the language translation to symbols using the turn-and-talk strategy. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: 6.EE.5
