About This Lesson

This is lesson 2 of a unit on informational text focusing on a new text: "Brown vs Board of Education". Students are introduced to the elements of an effective objective summary and continue to learn about the importance of using text evidence to support their claims. In this video students are reminded to return to the text for evidence. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RI.8.1, RI.8.2
