About This Lesson

Zampona are panpipes (siku and arca) that are played by musical partners. The siku and the arca are each a single set of panpipes that are comprised of alternating scale steps (ie tonic, third, fifth, seventh, etc. on one set and second, fourth, sixth, etc. on the other set). In order to have a complete scale to work with, players must partner with another player who uses the complimentary instrument!
