Kimberly Ochs serves as a social emotional learning (SEL) instructional coach for the West Warwick Public School Department in Rhode Island. In this capacity, she supports teachers by modeling lessons, facilitating professional development, designing curricula and promoting evidence-based instructional practices. A recognized district leader in areas such as bias and equity, classroom management and classroom climate, Ochs brings extensive expertise to her role.
As a Certified National Mindfulness Trainer through Mindful Schools, Ochs leads statewide professional development initiatives and is an AFT national trainer specializing in trauma-informed teaching practices. She has also developed and delivered online courses for the Rhode Island Department of Education and holds training sessions on restorative practices.
Ochs is a recent graduate of the CASEL SEL Fellows Academy 2024-2025 Cohort and holds a master’s degree in social emotional learning from Waldorf University. She is committed to fostering inclusive, relationship-centered school environments with an "emotions matter" approach.
