I have navigated a long and interesting road. I worked as an analytical chemist for several decades. This included many years in toxicology and many years in environmental analysis. This nearly always included a theme of quality control and I have used this to look for employment (unsuccessful) in Quality Management. Still within the framework of analysis, I have held several positions in a research environment. Between 1996 and 2001, I worked as a public-school teacher. I taught American history, consumer math, prealgebra, earth science, marine biology, chemistry, high school biology and recently volunteer with an after-school program. This is introduction to programming and uses a sophisticated software package from MIT called Scratch. It is directed at my 7th graders. {check it out www.scratch.mit.edu}
