I grew up in eastern KS. and graduated from The University of KS with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education focusing on English/Language Arts and a minor in Theater/Drama. Later, I graduated from The George Washington University with a Masters in Leadership and Human Development.
I have been married to Anthony for over 26 years. We have 3 children: Eliza, Alex, and Abigail. Each of them is pursuing their education and career paths in their own diverse ways. Eliza is a theater technician focusing on lighting. Alex is studying psychology and Abigail is studying Environmental Science focusing on sustainability and the moral applications.
I continue to pursue a stronger learning experience for my students who are very typical urban students who have struggled through their educational experiences due to trauma in their homes and communities.
