Biography
I teach 7th & 8th grade health at Ryan Middle School in Fairbanks, Alaska. I love the idea of teachers sharing information to help each other be better!
I coach a high school ballroom dance team. As with most coaches, this is where my mind goes when I don't have anything else demanding it's energy.
Having said that, I love teaching health! It is so relevant and applicable and needed! It is my pet peeve when coaches (who do not want to teach health), use it as a punishment or last resort. I've heard people say, if you don't behave (in the gym), we are going to go learn health! (Grrrr). Students don't like their health class if their teachers don't like teaching it!
