The American Battlefield Trust provides free K-12 educator resources covering America's first 100 years. We specifically focus on the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and American Civil War eras. Our Civil War curricula for elementary, middle, and high school levels are aligned to both the National Council for the Social Studies and Common Core standards. Along with the curriculum, the organization’s website - www.battlefields.org - has an extensive collection of historical articles, biographies, primary documents, interactive battlefield maps, informational videos, and other resources to further enhance the early American history learning experience. The American Battlefield Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works toward the preservation of America’s endangered Revolutionary War, War of 1812, and Civil War battlefields, as well as promoting history and civics education through heritage tourism and place-based learning. Supported by more than 55,000 members, the American Battlefield Trust has saved more than 53,000 acres of historic land since 1987.
