About This Webinar

Join Zerah Jakub, Manager of Education Communication and Outreach at George Washington's Mount Vernon and Share My Lesson in a discussion surrounding George Washington's leadership and what decisions would students make if confronted with the challenges George Washington faced during the American Revolution and his presidency.

In this webinar, learn how to incorporate Mount Vernon’s interactive game "Be Washington" into the classroom, discover primary sources, explore multiple perspectives and challenge your students to become leaders as they make decisions about the real events that helped shape our nation. Scenarios include The Whiskey Rebellion, The Genet Affair, The Newburgh Conspiracy and The Battle of Second Trenton.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.

Share My Lesson is now a New York State Education Department-approved provider for Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) requirements and an Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approved Professional Development provider.
