I would like to introduce myself to the community.

My name is Ms. Lorelei, is what my students call me. I absolutely love my career with Brookfield school district. It has become my purpose in life and my joy every day waking up and looking forward to going in to teach my kids. I work with children that are going through all sorts of crisis situations. I am there to support them educationally. However, I also try to help them emotionally, socially, and especially uplift their spirits. I am a positive, outgoing and fun-spirited teacher that does my very best to guide these students with whatever work they must complete as well as provide them with work on a daily basis. I like to think that I make at least one kid smile a day. That is one of my many mini goals to achieve. I also like to think that I make one small difference in their lives, anywhere from giving them help with an assignment they are struggling with for school, or just being there to listen if they need to talk. As I said this is my purpose and I live to learn and love to teach. I do hope that I will get the chance to be apart of the virtual conference this summer, and I really would like to learn new ways of helping with trauma based situations. Especially with ways to deal with these children that struggle with certain things that I may not be able to give them comfort or advice to get through certain things. I do hope to also learn a lot more innovative teaching ways of the new generation. I need to update my education in a lot of ways, because it's been a long time since I've been to school and they are teaching subjects very differently in schools today. Thank you for taking the time in reading my comments and you may reach out to me anytime with advice or questions. Have a fantastic weekend!

Ed Eckel, high school science, St Johnsbury, VT.

I am looking for ways to re-build classroom community and to make compelling opting in to being part of a supportive and giving classroom learning community with 9th-10th graders who have found opting out to be a viable path during covid distancing and isolation. I am looking for ways to knock apart the white patriarchal acquisition system for privilege. And I am looking for ways to re-connect with educators and others who see the exchange of ideas and not the convicting of others as the purpose of social interactions.

Hi, my name is Geri Blum!

I am a fifth grade teacher with Mojave Unified School District at Hacienda Elementary. I feel as though the five key areas are all going to be of great importance as we begin next school year. I am hoping to learn many things, one of them being strategies to mitigate some of the learning loss due to the pandemic.

Hello, everyone!
