About This Lesson

This article summarizes how 4 groups were effected by WWII: The international community (League of Nations becoming the United Nations), Jews (Holocaust and creation of Israel), Japan (nuclear bombing, US rebuilding, and then the ensuing nuclear weapons issue), and Europe (US influence and the Marshall Plan, Soviet Influence and the Cold War). Students need to explain what was fair or unfair about these effects from different perspectives.
