About This Lesson
AFT is working with UFT and First Book to provide 10,000 books to homeless NYC students and families to support distance learning during the pandemic and create permanent shelter libraries. The effort is part of the AFT’s multifaceted initiatives to support our members, our students and our communities that have been deeply affected by COVID-19. This new effort, AFTbooks4keeps is aimed at ensuring that—through reading—the children can be engaged and stimulated in this very uncertain and isolating time.
