About This Lesson
This is a first grade ELA Unit, Lesson 6 out of 12. All About Living Things: Learning to Navigate and Create Informational Texts - Text Coding. This lesson addressed the standards through the use of text coding as a device for gathering information to both answer and encourage student questions about a topic of their choice. As students read the text to answer question, more questions will arise, which will encourage further research on the part of the student in order to answer the new questions.
