About This Lesson

This assignment asks students to become familiar with the concept of the Elizabethan Order that would have been recognized during Shakespeare’s time. The Elizabethan Order is an ideology of how the universe is established through a very detailed hierarchy. After this activity students will be able to identify the characters of "Macbeth" that address this world order and how it gives us insight into the direction of the play.
