About This Lesson

This is a post reading activity for Macbeth allowing students to look at a different perspective on the traditional understanding of the play. Historically speaking Macbeth is commonly known as a Shakespearean tragedy; however, can it also be considered a detective novel? In this lesson, students will use the elements of a detective novel to determine if Macbeth can be classified as a detective story.
