About This Lesson
Throughout this unit, students have been exposed to a wide variety of sources centering on the theme, “The Art of Giving.” In this lesson, students will plan, organize and draft an original essay, synthesizing source material from previous lessons in the unit to make an argument about “The Art of Giving.” Students will use a mind-mapping strategy to brainstorm ideas for their essay, complete a Synthesis Essay Outline, and participate in a Writer’s Workshop.
