About This Lesson
This one-week sequence of documents-based lesson will help students understand the ideas and actions of Civil Rights leaders during the Progressive Era in the early 20th Century. Students will read from thinker such as W.E.B. DuBois and Booker T. Washington in their efforts to understand the views of the 'grandparents' of the post-WW2 Civil Rights movement.
