About This Lesson

In this interactive lesson, students take on the roles of United States Senators as they debate and discuss policies related to climate change and energy production. Students will analyze primary sources including real speeches from the senate floor and use those speeches to bolster their own arguments as they decide how the United States should work to combat climate change.

This lesson  was originally created in conjunction with the Edward M. Kennedy Institute's in person Senate Immersion Module but can now be used as a stand alone lesson in your classroom!
