About This Lesson
College Reading will prepare students for the literary demands found in both college and career atmospheres. Students will engage in careful reading and critical analysis of a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts. Through close readings and analysis students will deepen their understanding of the ways writers use language to provide meaning and pleasure for their readers. Additionally, students will develop their voices as writers through the continual study and practice of the essential elements of writing.
