About This Lesson
Multiple Lessons: What is conflict, what causes it, and how can it be resolved? Classroom activities designed encourage students to work toward recognizing and resolving conflict in school and at home. Practical strategies suggested. Solution circle is introduced as a strategy for students to use to support each other in solving problems. Parts of the lesson use Scholastic Magazine; this section can be modified or omitted, while other parts of the lesson are used. Teachers can create a graphic organizer or checklist for the homework assignment, as per student need.
