About This Lesson

The learner will be able to speak the numbers 1-10, in the correct order, while counting objects.

The teacher will call for the attention of the students and ask them to stand quietly in a circle.  The teacher will tell the class that they are going to pretend to be football players while they count to ten.  The teacher will model how to use their hands to “throw” to the right, “throw” to the left, “catch” to the right, and then “catch” to the left.  The teacher will lead the class in the movements until they count all the way to ten.  The teacher will then tell the class that today, they are going to learn how to count paper footballs all the way to ten.
