About This Lesson

Students will learn about discrimination and segregation in the military during World War II and develop college- and career-ready reading and writing skills. In this lesson, students will learn to determine when figurative language is being used. Students will also learn to analyze and organize information gathered using my chosen structure. They will also learn how to introduce a topic clearly and develop it with relevant information and provide a concluding statement or section that follows from the information or explanation presented.
