About This Lesson
Often, students complete a writing task but don't take a step back to think about how this affected their writing abilities. This guideline has students reflect on the process and product of writing after a task is completed. It has 18 questions for students to answer (10 about the process of writing and peer editing, 8 about their own piece of writing), and it is best given after students have brainstormed, planned, drafted, received edits from peers, and revised their writing - either fiction or narrative pieces.
