About This Lesson
In this 80-minute lesson, students use Econ topics to build their self-awareness and decision-making skills by working with their peers. The jigsaw strategy will be used to read an article about credit and then discuss it within a group where they will choose the spokesperson to share out their “piece” of the article to the whole class. There is also an option to quiz the students on the vocabulary. A sample credit application is also attached to allow students to gain experience with filling out a credit application. Each student will be given an Exit Ticket that asks about their feelings on how the group project worked as well as to list a positive and a negative aspect of working with their peers.
