About This Lesson

Harness the power of first-person stories using this video and attached viewing guide to facilitate a guided discussion with your students about the 9/11 attacks.

John Spade was only two months old when his father Bill responded to the World Trade Center on 9/11. Hearing his father share his 9/11 story with others as he grew up inspired John to learn more about the attacks in order to teach his peers about the importance of that day.

This story was filmed as part of our Anniversary Digital Learning Experience (DLE), which introduces students to first-person accounts of the 9/11 attacks. For more information, click here.
