About This Lesson
POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS for unit: students will be introduced to skills, practices, and routines that will be used on a regular basis in the ELA classroom throughout the year: close reading, annotating text, collaborative conversation, and evidence-based writing, especially through teacher-led text-dependent questioning. Students will learn an approach to close reading that develops their ability to critically analyze texts for deep meaning and collect and analyze evidence for use in writing and discussion.
