About This Lesson

This is a great start to teaching about the epic hero's journey! It is wide open for adding more. It also could be a great addition to mythology project. It awaits your custom needs. It has great side bar notes to help in making the project more tailor to each teacher's needs. Includes a list of movies that follow Joseph Campbell’s monomyth (Hero’s Journey) formula.

This is exactly the topic and way of working with heroes that ignited a fire in several of my students on the Autism spectrum. One started to work with digital media with a focus towards special effects. The take-home was they really connected to ELA and worked to understand some very difficult text!! Enjoy!

The quality of the resources

The quality of the resources looks great. I would suggest changing the title to make it correct-- "heroes" instead of "hero's."

Hi Suzanne,

Hi Suzanne,
Thank you. I will do that correction right away. If you are looking for more hyperdocs resources let me know.
