This is a really lovely powerpoint which covers the well known flowerbed investigation, this would make a great lesson when studying number patterns which are generated from practical contexts. The powerpoint is pretty complete and even has a wrap up style question at the end where students have to apply what they have found out, there is the opportunity for some group work through this investigation.
