About This Lesson
This unit plan is designed to teach the importance of taking ownership over one’s actions and instruct how routines can be impactful. Students will be provided information about the various wellness factors like nutrition, hydration, fitness, rest/leisure activities and how a routine of these can produce positive results both in the short term and long term. Ultimately this unit concludes with students taking what they have learned and personalizing it into a routine that is realistic for their environment, preferences, and available resources to show them that they are capable of living a healthy lifestyle that suits them instead of the lofty models that the mainstream media often portrays.
