About This Lesson
This integrated unit’s learning objectives combines focuses in the areas of social studies, English language arts, and art under the essential question: “How do we honor our country?” The idea of this integrated unit is that the people of the United States are united by their respect for the laws and heritage of the United States. Certain symbols stand for the laws and heritage. Showing respect to these symbols is a way to respect our country and all Americans.
