My Past Is Present (Historical Events Having Current Impact on Cultural Events)
The Invisible Man serves as the foundation for the exploration of how events of the past continue to have impact on today’s society. The students will write three to five page report about a cultural event that had directly, or indirectly, influenced their lives or write a on a legal case that has direct, or indirect influence on their lives (e.g. Brown Vs. The Board of Education). Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.9-10.1, RL.9-10.2 , RL.9-10.3 , RL.9-10.4 , RL.9-10.5
