About This Lesson

Students will learn about discrimination and segregation in the military during World War II and develop college- and career-ready reading and writing skills. In this lesson, students will learn to locate and cite textual evidence to support my analysis of what the text says, and read closely and find answers explicitly in text and answers that require an inference. Students will also learn how to determine the figurative, connotative, or technical meaning of words or phrases in a text.
