About This Lesson
Students will be able to define similarity in terms of transformations. Students will be able to determine if figures are similar using similarity transformation and similarity properties. Students will be able to explain similarity transformations using corresponding congruent pairs of angles and proportionality of corresponding sides. Students will be able to graph figures on a coordinate plane and apply similarity transformations. Students will be able to identify and apply properties of similar figures. Students will be able to develop the AA criterion for two triangles to be similar.
